Aims of the Highland Pony Society
The Highland Pony Society is proud to have His Majesty The King as our Patron, continuing the Royal family's long association with the breed. The Late Queen Elizabeth II was our Patron for over 70 years.
The Royal Studs at Balmoral have produced many notable Highland ponies, contributing significantly to the breed's development.
Established in 1923, the Highland Pony Society is dedicated to the promotion, preservation, and improvement of the Highland pony breed. As Scotland's only native heavy pony breed, the Highland holds a special place in our nation's equestrian heritage.
