Antares Fingal

14hh 5 year old Registered Highland pony gelding for sale.

Sadly, after owning since a foal my lovely Fingal is looking for a new home.

As a youngster I took him to a couple of in hand shows and in hand walks to see the world. He has spent most of his life living in gelding only and mixed herds, he’s very friendly with other horses.

Fingal lives out 24/7 with no rug.

At 4.5 years old Fingal was professionally broken and then turned away. I brought him back into work earlier this year in May, since then we have been hacking mostly alone but also in small groups where he will go happily in front or behind.

Under saddle we walk, trot and canter and have popped the odd log. He is still green so occasionally does a silly little spook but doesn’t bolt, nap or spin. I’m not the most confident of riders and I feel very safe on him.

His Sire Bluebraes Merrick has been very successful in hand/under saddle, his half-brother was also champion at Windsor and be very successful in the show ring. I think he would make a great all-rounder/hacking pony or could be shown.

He clips without sedation and very much used to bathing being grey. Currently has front shoes and is good to be shod.

Snaffle mouthed. Up to date with vaccinations and teeth.

Due to being a young pony, he would be best suited to someone knowledgeable and experienced. He has the basics in place ready to be produced further.

5* home required. Finding the right home is incredibly important.
