Service Certificate

Stallion owners issue service certificates to mare owners as proof that a breeding service took place. This certificate is required when registering a foal if the breeder does not own the stallion.

Free Service

Issuing a service certificate is completely free. This is a record-keeping service to help mare owners register their foals.

When to Issue a Certificate

  • After your stallion has served a mare owned by someone else
  • When the mare owner requests proof of service for foal registration
  • At the end of the breeding season to document all services

Information Required

Stallion Details

  • • Stallion name and HPS registration number
  • • Colour and year of birth
  • • Your contact details as owner

Mare Details

  • • Mare name and HPS registration number
  • • Colour
  • • Mare owner name and email

Service Details

  • • Service type (natural or AI)
  • • Date(s) of service
  • • Expected foaling year

Issue a Service Certificate

Complete the online form to issue a certificate. The mare owner will receive a copy by email.
